The IPM is a programmable Inverter - Energy Manager. Its purpose is to control energy flow within a building in order to take advantage of renewable energy and save on non-renewable energy. This is accomplished through programming, in such a way that best suits the user's lifestyle and overall needs.

At the push of a button, the user can select one of three modes of operation:

• ISLAND
• GRID CONNECTED
• HYBRID

While connected to the grid, the user can take advantage of his power company's regulations and tariffs by selecting,

• daily feed in times from renewable energy to the grid.
• daily feed in times from the battery to the grid.
• times for charging the batteries from the grid.
• maximum allowed energy feed in to the grid (kWh/day).
• maximum allowed power feed in to the grid, as a percentage of power installed. (% Wp).
